I can feel it grab the syro and then go into gear. Almost like im shifting twice going into the same gear. Is this how the t-5 is supposed to be. All other manuals I have driven shift very smoothly.

If your 3rd and/or 4th gear are more notchy than the others, it might be worth looking into that, too. I too have a 2006 NC GT Package with the 6-Speed. It's a stronger trans than the 5-Speed, and as a result you get the 'notchy' feeling. The ratios are also a little weird.

You should use a gear oil that's GL-4 spec ONLY, like Red Line MT-90, not a combo GL-4/GL-5 like most gear oil you'll find at the parts stores (including Royal Purple MaxGear). The sulfur additives in GL-5 can degrade your synchronizers.
