Sharding protocol
Webb15 okt. 2024 · Sharded network majority are leader-based protocols and can be completely compromised if there is even a single shard with more than f out of 3f + 1 corrupt nodes. Random sampling is used by Elastico, Omniledger and Rapidchain to secure shard from shard takeover attacks to avoid the presence of malicious nodes in the shard. Webb20 juni 2024 · I work on a sharded Layer 1 protocol called Near. There’s a common misconception that sharded Layer 1 protocols compete with Layer 2 as solutions for blockchain scalability. In practice, however, it is not the case, and even when sharded protocols become live, Layer 2 solutions will still be actively used.
